Perian and Flip4Mac
Problem: I downloaded a video but my mac won't play it.
Solution: Install two utilities and they will cover 95% of all video formats.

Menu Meters
Problem: My mac is slow but I don't know why.
Solution: MenuMeters is a small monitoring tool that let's you see where your resources are going. I limit mine to just Network, RAM and CPU usage.
Green line = Network download usage
Red line = Network upload usage
Pie = RAM usage
Percents = CPU usage (I have 2 CPUs)

Super Remove Dead Tracks
Problem: Have a ton of bad links in your iTunes library that you want to remove. These would be songs with ! next to them.
Solution: Doug's Apple Scripts (the maker of Dupin) also has a script that can remove these bad links.
1) Download the zip file to your "Downloads" folder.
2) Double click zip file to extract *.dmg file
3) Double click *.dmg file and follow the instructions.
4) Unmount the drive
5) The script can be launched from your iTunes script menu

Handbrake
Problem: You want to rip (copy) a DVD or convert a file from one media type to another (ex *.mov to *.m4v).
Solution: Handbrake is the best program to rip DVDs. It's very flexible allowing you to rip to all kinds of formats

Show/Hide Files
Problem: You have an iPod and you want to get all the mp3s off of it, but you can't see them b/c the "iPod_Control" folder is hidden"
